Day of Service at Mi Escuelita

Creating strong communities is key to developing strong individuals and organizations. Our North Texas chapter members put the BUILT value of service in action at Mi Escuelita Crossover.

Mi Escuelita Preschool utilizes a holistic curriculum to teach young children the language skills they need to transition to, and flourish in, English-speaking kindergartens. Since the staff and teachers dedicate so much time and energy to their young students, the North Texas BUILT chapter dedicated our day to helping Mi Excuelita’s staff and teachers in their mission. After an introduction from the preschool’s staff, our members got to work building a new fence and making improvements to the Crossover location, such as reinforcing stairs and repainting, to keep the school safe and beautiful.

Mi Escuelita helps preschoolers gain the confidence and capabilities they need as young students to decrease their chances of dropping out in later grades. Donations to the Mi Escuelita Preschool Charity are used to purchase health and hygiene items, school supplies, and age-appropriate e-learning technology for students. North Texas BUILT is proud to serve its community, and we are happy to support Mi Escuelita Preschool as they make a positive impact on Texas families.
