Matt Bearden is Senior Vice President of Construction at Gables Residential. Matt is responsible for overall construction on all projects across the United States. Prior to his 23 years at Gables, Matt performed several duties in the development/construction division over an 8-year period at Post Properties. Matt has vast experience in the development and construction of all types of multifamily and mixed-use projects and has successfully completed over 10,000 units with a total capitalization of over 2 billion dollars during his tenure at Gables. Matt currently holds Class A General Contractor licenses in the states of Georgia, Virginia, Colorado, and Florida. Matt received his BS degree in Building Construction from Georgia Tech and has been an active philanthropist involved in many organizations including Habitat for Humanity and American Kidney Foundation. He is a former Chairman of the NMHC Design and Construction Committee and remains active on this committee and NMHC.Matt enjoys being an original board member for BUILT National and bringing industry leaders together to share information, build relationships, and give back to communities and charities all over the country.
