Bart French serves as Executive Vice President, Investments for MAA, where he oversees the company's investment, development, and capital allocation activities. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President, Development, with responsibility for MAA's ground-up development portfolio throughout the company's western markets. Mr. French has more than two decades of experience developing and investing in multifamily and mixed-use communities across major U.S. markets. Prior to joining MAA, he led development activities for Post Properties across Texas, Colorado, and Florida. Earlier in his career, he worked on the mergers and acquisitions team at Perot Systems Corporation. 

Mr. French is a member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Multifamily Leadership Board, the advisory board of BUILT National, the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Mr. French earned a B.B.A. in Finance from Baylor University.
