Matt Bearden is a multifamily industry executive with more than 30 years of experience spanning construction, development and strategic partnerships. During his 25-year tenure with Gables Residential, he led national construction operations and helped deliver more than 20,000 multifamily units representing over $5 billion in total capitalization. 

Today, Matt serves as President of Bearden Consulting Group, advising owners, developers, general contractors and AEC firms on construction strategy, owner's representation, business development and industry relationships. He also serves as Director of Strategic Partnerships at The Preston Partnership and Director of National Partnerships at BUILT National, where his work centers on building meaningful relationships across the multifamily and AEC communities. 

A Georgia Tech graduate in Construction Management and a licensed Class A general contractor in multiple states, Matt brings an owner-side, experience-driven perspective to industry conversations and a career grounded in developing, building and delivering multifamily communities.
